Calling all thrill seekers as Fisher’s Ghost carnival returns

Calling all thrill seekers as Fisher’s Ghost carnival returns - Campbelltown City Council

Bradbury Oval is set to come alive over two huge weekends, as the Fisher’s Ghost Carnival makes a spectacular return, providing plenty of thrills, entertainment and fun for the whole family.

The carnival is a highlight of the annual Festival of Fisher’s Ghost, and features a dazzling fireworks display on both Saturday evenings of the event.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Sue Dobson, said the carnival was one of the most popular aspects of the city’s largest community celebration.

“Whether you’re a thrill seeker or looking for some all-time family fun, there are rides and activities to suit all ages and tastes,” said Cr Dobson.

“The Fisher’s Ghost carnival offers value-for-money, quality entertainment that is close to home, so join in the spirit and experience all that is on offer.”

Set to be main attractions at this year’s carnival are the Mega Giant Slide, complete with its very own escalator; the Mega Drop and adrenalin favourite, Free Fall. A carousel will be a star attraction among the children’s rides, which will also include the Montaylah Train, Cup and Saucer, Bear Affair and inflatables.

Other spectacular rides will include No Limit, which has appeared at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Space Roller, Love Express, Waveswinger and Gravitron.

All-time family favourites return, including the Wacky Worm rollercoaster, dodgem cars and laughing clowns. The carnival also features the ever-popular side show alley, with showbags and plenty of great prizes to be won.

Carnival hours are:
Fridays (2 and 9 November), 6pm to 11pm
Saturdays (3 and 10 November), 2pm to 11pm
Sundays (4 and 11 November), 2pm to 9.30pm

The fireworks displays will be held on Saturday 3 November and Saturday 10 November, at 9pm.

Residents are reminded that fireworks can easily scare animals. If you have pets that tend to be frightened by loud noises, please ensure you keep them restrained or indoors during the fireworks displays.

The Festival of Fisher’s Ghost runs from 1 to 11 November.
