We have an obligation to the public to regulate certain activities to ensure the heath and safety of the community. This includes:

Inspecting premises where food is prepared or sold to monitor and advise on hygiene, food handling and quality control.

Inspecting premises such as hairdressers, tattooists, beauty salons, solariums, ear piercing services and nail artists to ensure health standards are maintained.

Assessing maintenance procedures for water-cooled air conditioning systems to control Legionnaires ‘disease.

Monitoring on-site waste management systems.

Monitoring and responding to problems threatening public health, safety and convenience.
