Australia Day

Australia Day

Australia Day is your chance to celebrate what’s great about Campbelltown - come and join the party!

We host a variety of activities and free entertainment, across two locations, to celebrate our national day.

There will be something for everyone, so join in the Australia Day celebrations at Koshigaya Park, Campbelltown and Hallinan Park, Ingleburn, giving residents of all ages an opportunity to reflect on what’s great about our country and our local community.

Campbelltown City Australia Day Awards 2016

Recognising local heroes

A dedicated volunteer and community fundraiser has been named Campbelltown’s 2016 Citizen of the Year.

Jenny Watt of Macquarie Fields was acknowledged for more than 40 years of volunteer service to the Campbelltown community – including schools, service groups, charities and hospitals – at our annual Australia Day awards ceremony in Koshigaya Park on Tuesday 26 January.

The 2016 Campbelltown City Australia Day Award winners were:

Citizen of the Year – Jenny Watt
Young Citizen of the Year – Brandon Cotter
Sportsperson of the Year – Braydon Hawes
Community Group Initiative of the Year – Rotary Club of Macarthur Sunrise

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees, and we look forward to receiving nominations for the 2017 awards when the awards open in September.
