October 2012 - Progressive Lunch and Winery Tour
A new progressive lunch tour with a course at each of three wineries will be held on Sunday 4 November 2012, in the historic Macarthur area - Australia's oldest wine region!

Three of Macarthur's wineries - Fussy Grape, Trattoria La Vigna and Razorback Ridge - have banded together to offer a new self drive, three course, progressive lunch tour on Sunday 4 November with a course enjoyed at each winery.
The Macarthur Progressive Wine Lunch will start at 11.30am with the entree served at Fussy Grape Winery, followed by the main course at Trattoria La Vigna and dessert at Razorback Ridge Wines.
The four-hour progressive lunch is available for $60 per person. Bookings are required through Razorback Ridge Wines on 0416 521 753 or rpmason@bipond.com
Additional dates for the tour include Sunday 2 December 2012 and Sunday 3 February 2013.

August 2012 - Riverfest
The annual Riverfest family festival is on Saturday 25 August.
The festival celebrates the natural environment and cultural diversity of Campbelltown and the historic Macarthur region.

The fun, eco-themed cultural event features interactive displays, giveaways, cultural performances, eco games and recycling competitions, food and vegetable stalls showcasing cuisine from around the world and information and workshops about the environment including composting, worm farming and vegetable planting.
Riverfest will also feature a cooking demonstration by the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living, a kite making contest, a backyard bug touch and feel exhibition and an African-themed workshop where visitors can try their hand at making African masks, decorative headwraps, jewellery and grass skirts.
Cost: Entry into the festival is free.

May 2012 - 101 Things To Do In Macarthur
To showcase the wealth of experiences and attractions available in the Macarthur region, the team at Visit Macarthur have created a new brochure - '101 Things To Do In Macarthur'.
Visitors can use the brochure to create their own checklist of attractions, activities and places to visit in the Macarthur region.

The brochure reveals how jam-packed the region is with things to see and do. However, if you can't experience everything in one visit - come back and visit again, visitors are always welcome in Macarthur!

February 2012 - Sculpture Award and Exhibition
Enjoy some culture at UWS Campbelltown's Sculpture Award and Exhibition 2012
Now in its fifth year, the UWS Scultpture Award and Exhibition is a not-to-be missed occasion for anyone who loves perusing sculptural art in the great outdoors.

With a prize purse of $25,000, this acquisitive competition attracts some of Australia's most renowned sculptors.
Finalists this year include Christopher Hodges, Jan King, Ingrid Morley, Denese Oats and Martin Sims. All their creations, 27 in total this year, are made from a diverse range of materials and structure from abstract steel to kinetic and large pieces and each will be displayed within the open spaces and rolling hills of the beautiful Campbelltown Campus.
Picnic facilities are available around the campus and car parking is available for $6 a day (this fee will be lifted on Mother's Day, Sunday 13 May).
School and community groups are encouraged to book into an artist and/or curator talk and tour, which will be held on weekdays between 10am and 3pm.

November 2011 - Sydney FC to play in Campbelltown
For the first time, Campbelltown Sports Stadium is set to host an A-League game in a premiership match!
Campbelltown Stadium has been named as one in just five regional venues throughout Australia and New Zealand to host a community match as part of the Hyundai A-League 2011-12 football season.

It is the first time the stadium has hosted an A-League game in a premiership match. Adding to the excitment, the game will star local Socceroo, Brett Emerton.
