Whether you're a seasoned dog owner or taking your very first steps into the wonderful world of dog ownership, Jovie is here to steal your heart!

About Me: Jovie is a very easy-going girl with a lot of love to give! She adores all people that she meets!

She loves toys, loves learning commands, loves walks & overall just loves life!

Ideal Home: Jovie would love the option to be both indoors & outdoors in her new home – having the freedom to get the best of both worlds. A medium to large yard with high secure fencing would also be a bonus.

Family: Jovie would suit a part-time workers schedule, as she can tend to get a little antsy if left by herself for long periods of time. However if you’re willing to put in the effort & ease her into a comfy routine then Jovie will have no issues being left alone for longer periods of time.

Got kids? No problem! Jovie is eager to meet children of any age – her enthusiasm may result in a few jumps here & there but we are working on reigning that in.

Furry Friends: Jovie has met other dogs at the facility & doesn’t appear to mind them so if you have another dog we can schedule a meet & greet.

Work Hard: Not to brag, but Jovie is a smart cookie and already knows how to ‘sit’ and ‘lay down’. She’s eager to learn more too & we have started teaching her other neat tricks. Jovie is a sucker for treats which makes training easier & keeps her engaged.

We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.

Play Hard: Toys are great! Especially soft ones or ones with squeakies! They are Jovies’ favourites. Jovie also loves going for long walks and she walks nicely on lead.

My adoption fee has been reduced as I have been waiting for my forever home for over 60 days!

Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
