Companion Animal Subsidised Desexing Programs

CAWS Companion Animal Subsidised Desexing Program

Council offers subsidised desexing, microchipping and first vaccination to eligible residents in the Campbelltown LGA who meet the program criteria. You can enrol up to two animals per household if you meet the below eligibility criteria:

  • You are a resident of the Campbelltown Local Government Area (and bring proof of this with you on the day)
  • You are a pensioner or low income earner below $25,000 per annum (and bring proof of this with you on the day)
  • You must make full payment for the program on the enrolment day

If you do not meet the above criteria, you are not eligible to enrol for the CAWS Program.

Program Enrolment

You will need to attend an enrolment day to complete enrolment forms and make your owner contribution payment. Owner contribution fees are as follows:

 Female Dog  $65
 Male Dog  $45
 Female Cat  $45
 Male Cat  $30

 
Enrolment days will be held at the Rosemeadow Sports Complex (entry via car park off Dickens Road, Ambarvale) on the following days: 

  • Thursday 28 March 2019 from 11am to 2pm
  • Thursday 9 May 2019 from 11am to 2pm

National Desexing Network Co-Operative Desexing Program for cats

Council offers subsidised cat desexing to eligible residents in the Campbelltown LGA who meet the program criteria. There is no limit to the number of animals per household if you meet the below eligibility criteria:

  • You are a resident of the Campbelltown Local Government Area (proof required)
  • You are a pensioner or low income earner below $25,000 per annum (proof required)
Program Enrolment

You will need to contact the National Desexing Network directly on 1300 368 992 to obtain your desexing voucher. Owner contribution fees are as follows:

First Female Cat $55
Additional Female Cat $35
Male Cat $35

 

Participating vets are:

  • Glenfield Vet
    5/95 Harrow Road, Glenfield NSW

  • Ingleburn Vet
    4/2 Noonan Road, Ingleburn NSW

  • Bradbury Vet (Macarthur Vet Group)
    75 Jacaranda Avenue, Bradbury NSW

  • St Andrews Vet (Ballantrae Drive)
    10/91 Ballantrae Drive, St Andrews NSW

 

Cats must be microchipped before the desexing procedure. By law all cats and dogs (other than cats and dogs exempt under legislation) must be microchipped by 12 weeks of age. The Animal Care Facility can microchip your cat at the facility for a fee of $52.

Next step - Lifetime Register your pet

If your animal has been desexed, the lifetime registration fee will be at a reduced rate. Please ensure to bring your desexing certificate (and pension card if you have one) with you when you register your animal.

All cats and dogs (other than cats and dogs exempt under legislation) must be registered at 6 months old.
