Council is leading a city-wide brand initiative to enhance the image and represent the unique identity of Campbelltown.
Council is committed to implementing projects to attract economic and cultural investment that will contribute to Campbelltown being a destination of choice to live, work and do business - and to attract more local jobs for people in the area. One of these initiatives is the City Identity and Branding project.
Changing the current negative perception of the city was identified as a priority by the local community and businesses in our Community Strategic Plan. Council is now working with independent branding agency, Principals, to develop a new city identity and brand strategy in order to build a consistent and compelling identity for Campbelltown.
Current perceptions are fragmented and inconsistent, which can put Campbelltown at a disadvantage when competing with other major cities to attract jobs and investment. This strategy will assist with increasing confidence and provide a powerful incentive for investment in Campbelltown, as well as build pride locally across our community.
The city brand, including the development of a new logo, will require the stories, perspective and local knowledge of the community during the next few months. The local community should be the City's proudest advocates, so they are an essential piece of this journey.
Over the coming months there will be several rounds of community consultation including organised interviews with community members, co-creation workshops, vox pops in town centres and online surveys.
We need your help to shape Campbelltown's narrative for the future, so we encourage you to register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
