Western Sydney Airport

The Federal Government has confirmed that the Western Sydney Airport (Nancy-Bird Walton Airport) will be built at Badgerys Creek. The project will be one of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in Australia – the predicted cost of the project is an estimated $5.3 billion.

The new airport has the capacity to realise many opportunities for Campbelltown including increased jobs closer to home, significant transport infrastructure to increase connectivity, and facilitating investment in social, cultural and economic infrastructure.

The Western Sydney Airport, expected to open in 2026, will bring a competitive edge to the entire Western Sydney region.
