Koalas in Campbelltown

Koala walking on the ground next to a tree in Campbelltown

"I've never seen a koala in the wild"

People always give us feedback that they have never seen a koala in the wild or a koala in the Campbelltown Local Government Area (LGA).

Based on our population of approximately 300 koalas and the available habitat, it equates to around one koala every 20ha or one koala every 40 football fields (100m x 100m) so the chance of randomly spotting one is slim to none.

We'll let you in on our golden secret

Here's where you find all you need to know about where to look and what to look for, otherwise you’ll be enjoying a nice walk (which is also fine).
