Development proposals

6-12 Dumaresq St, Campbelltown

Council has received revised plans in relation to a development application from Michael Brown Planning Strategies for the demolition of existing structures and construction of a 15 storey mixed use residential flat building, comprising of 85 residential units, one level of retail, two levels of commercial, a communal rooftop open space area and four levels of underground car parking at SP 63212, 6-12 Dumaresq St, Campbelltown. 

The revised plans have been received following changes required to be made as a result of the application’s assessment to date. 

Sydney Western City Planning Panel is the determination authority for this development application. 

The application and accompanying Statement of Environmental Effects are on exhibition and available for review at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours and HJ Daley Library, Hurley St, Campbelltown.

Menangle Park Urban Release Area – Stage 1

Council has received a development application from APP Corporation Pty Ltd for Menangle Park Urban Release Area – Stage 1 – civil works and the subdivision of land to create 255 residential lots and seven superlots at Lot 1 DP 598067, Lot 1 DP 1091474, Lot 2 DP 554242, Lots 31 & 32 DP 1101983, Lot 641 DP 600334, Lot 1001 DP 1219028 and Lot 1002 DP1234642, Menangle Rd, Menangle Park.

Campbelltown City Council is the consent authority for this development application. 

The proposal is identified as Nominated Integrated Development as it requires a controlled activity approval from the Office of Water under the Water Management Act 2000. 

The proposal also requires a Bushfire Safety Authority from the Rural Fire Service under the Rural Fires Act 1997.

Lot 34 ‘Epping Forest’, Mississippi Cr, Kearns

Council has been notified that Frank Lopresti Investments Pty Ltd has appealed Council’s decision to refuse a development application at the Land and Environment Court. The application was for the subdivision into five Torrens titled residential allotments at Lot 34 DP 262269, ‘Epping Forest’, Mississippi Cr, Kearns. 

As part of the appeal process, the court has instructed Council to re-exhibit the applicant’s amended application. The amendments have been made in response to Council’s reasons for refusing the original application. 

The proposal would ordinarily require an approval from the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage under the provisions of the Heritage Act 1977 as ‘Epping Forest’ is an item of State heritage significance.

The proposal is identified as Nominated Integrated Development as it requires a controlled activity approval from the Office of Water under the Water Management Act 2000.

The proposal is identified as Nominated Integrated Development as it requires a controlled activity approval from the Office of Water under the Water Management Act 2000. The development application also seeks approval from the Rural Fire Service under the Rural Fires Act 1997.
