Join us to celebrate the launch of Campbelltown City Council’s newest multipurpose sporting facility at Cleopatra Drive, Rosemeadow on Friday 16 March, with a heap of activities and giveaways on offer.

DJ, producer, singer and dancer, DJ Jazzy will get the party started at 6pm with a mix of Dance, Dance-Pop, Dub and Hip Hop, and partygoers will have the opportunity to try out the new basketball and futsal courts and test their skills on the inflatable obstacle course.

The community is invited to come along and meet players from the Sydney Kings NBL basketball team, including their Captain Kevin Lisch, and learn amazing futsal tricks from the Sydney Street Football Crew.

There’ll be lots more fun on offer, including a free BBQ, provided by the Rotary Club of Campbelltown, and ice creams.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, encouraged the community to come along and enjoy the free party.

“I’m pleased Council has delivered on our commitment to provide this fantastic new recreational facility, and to transform the previously underutilised tennis courts into two basketball and two futsal courts which residents are already putting to good use,” he said.

“The community response to the revamp has been overwhelmingly positive, and having already enjoyed games on both the basketball and futsal courts, I’ve experienced first-hand the health, fitness and social benefits this facility will provide our residents.

“The launch party is going to be a huge celebration, and I encourage everyone to come along and join their neighbours in a game of futsal, meet professional basketball players, and enjoy great music and a BBQ.”

The multipurpose court project saw the existing synthetic grass surface replaced by a sports acrylic finish and new line marking, as well as lighting upgrades, fencing replacement, park bench and shade structure installation, and the sealing of the car park.

The launch party will run from 6pm to 9pm at the courts on Cleopatra Drive, adjacent to Thomas Acres Reserve.
