IT & Biscuits

The IT & Biscuits program provides a number of sessions on a wide range of technologies.

  • Sessions are free, but bookings are essential.
  • We strongly recommend bringing your own device (laptop, Apple or Android) along to the sessions.
  • Come along, have a coffee or tea and some biscuits and enjoy! 


Session Name Description
Wonderful world of Windows 10 Introduction to Windows 10 and its features. Learn some tips and tricks to using Windows 10 effectively. 
Seniors card website A look at how to use all the excellent resources on the Seniors card website as well as the changes made in 2019. 
Communicating online Find out how to communicate with friends and family using a range of programs and Apps such as WhatsApp, Skype, Messenger and more. 
Tech-tasters Join us at our special come and try sessions on different aspects of technology and how they work. 

Technology Help

Not sure how to attach a photo to an email? Facebook privacy causing you some concern? Not sure how to add a contact to your mobile phone? We can help. Come along with your technology questions and problems (and your portable devices) for one-on-one assistance.

Each session lasts around 30 minutes and we cover a range of technology types such as tablets, laptops and mobile phones. Contact your nearest library branch to organise a convenient time and day for your session.

Event Postponed - Tech Savvy Seniors

The Tech Savvy Seniors program provides seniors with a number of beginner sessions on the use of technology.

  • Free training, specifically for seniors, to help you get online and connected.
  • These sessions will teach you how to use computers, the Internet, email and social media.
  • This program is delivered in partnership with the State Library of NSW and Telstra.
  • Bookings are essential.

These sessions will be held at HJ Daley Library at 10.00am.


BeConnected is an Australian Government initiative committed to increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of Australians and encourages all Australians to thrive in the digital world. 


  • These sessions provide hands on, step by step online learning on basic computer use, accessing the internet, using email and filling in online forms.
  • Library staff will be there to help guide you through the program and help you sign in so you can keep a track of your progress and pick up from where you left off.
  • Bookings are essential.
