We would love for you to join our new monthly Bushcare group which focuses on weed management and litter removal, whilst of course, keeping an eye out for the local wildlife.

About Colong Crescent Bushcare

If you have a passion for the outdoors and would love to pick up some new skills, then our Colong Bushcare volunteers group is perfect for you. As part of our Bushcare group you will have the ability to gain more of an understanding of our local waterways, as well as our local birds, insects, plants and wildlife.

If you enjoy being around interesting and like-minded people, as well as doing your part and helping our local environment, our Bushcare group runs once a month within the northern sections of Smith's Creek Reserve, which includes Colong and Abercrombie Reserves.

Our work will focus on the removal of invasive weeds, such as morning glory, privet and lantana, in areas of the endangered Shale-Sandstone Transition and River-Flat Eucalypt Forests.

Experience isn't necessary to attend these events as you will be provided with all the training you need.

Be sure to register your interest before attending one of our working bees.

COVID-19

The personal safety of our volunteers, residents and visitors is our top priority. Due to COVID-19 some event dates may be postponed - keep checking back for updates.
