Celebration of the 2017 International Day of People with Disability and launch of a mural produced by the Little Orange Project studio.
Council is hosting an inclusive and creative day out at Apex Park in celebration of 2017 International Day of People with Disability.
The theme for the day is ‘transformation towards sustainable and resilient society for all’. The highlight of the day will be the launch of a newly commissioned public mural at the site produced by local artist Jessica Fesic from the Little Orange Project studio.
The Little Orange Project is a collaboration between Campbelltown Arts Centre and local artists with a disability.
There will also be two tactile art making workshops for the community to make a creative response to the year’s theme, along with artists David Capra and Julie Finch.
The occasion will be marked with an official launch by the Deputy Mayor, followed by a community BBQ.
10am to 11.30am | Tactile Workshop 1
11.30am – 1pm | Community BBQ
12noon – 12.30pm | Launch of the public artwork
12.30pm – 2pm | Tactile Workshop 2
In the event of wet weather the celebrations will be moved to Campbelltown Arts Centre
