An exciting community event in celebration of our Love Ingleburn placemaking project
It's time for Ingleburn to celebrate on the longest night of the year at Into the Night!
We will be closing off a section of Oxford Rd to make way for a one-of-a-kind event that has something for every member of the family!
Dinner is sorted with plenty of hot food options available from local Ingleburn restaurants with the street will be decked out with outdoor furniture and heating for you to sit and enjoy your food.
For the first time in Ingleburn, we will have a Synthetic Ice Skating Rink - the perfect activity to celebrate the winter solstice. Skating is completely free, so be sure to bring the whole family down and have a try! Other activities include a free kids playground, free face painting and stargazing with the Macarthur Astronomical Society. We will also be projecting 'Faces of Ingleburn' - a collection of portraits of our wonderful locals. If you had your photo taken by our professional photographer at Ingleburn Alive, be sure to come down and see your face displayed!
A highlight of the evening will be the premiere of Ingleburn's own street piano with plenty of live music and surprise performances from lots of local talent.
Traffic closures will be in place and the following roads will be affected on the day from approximately 12pm to 11:59pm.
- Oxford Road, from Ingleburn Road to Macquarie Road and Nardoo Street (roundabouts will still be functioning)
Interline bus routes 871, 872 and 873 will be altered to accommodate traffic closures. Existing bus stops on Oxford Road will be closed from 12pm to 11:59pm and temporary bus stops will be in place on Cumberland Road opposite Hallinan Park.
