Be inspired and celebrate differences!

With a unique focus on environmental sustainability and the celebration of cultural differences, Riverfest is a melting pot of ideas, creativity and fun!

The event, held each year on the last Saturday in August between 11am and 3pm, aims to raise awareness of the city's local environment and cultural diversity.

Fun for everyone!

Try tasty treats from around the world, be entertained by groups performing their traditional dance, have a go at a wide range of recycled craft projects or get some tips on sustainable gardening. With loads of interactive workshops, stalls and entertainment, learning about our sustainable environment and celebrating our cultural diversity has never been so much fun - and there is something for everyone!

Event history

Riverfest was first hosted by the National Parks Association (NPA), with a focus on caring for Campbelltown’s natural environment. The addition in 2005 of celebrating the city’s cultural diversity has seen this unique annual event grow into the vibrant showcase that it is today. Riverfest is now coordinated by Campbelltown City Council in association with the NPA and Macarthur Diversity Services Initiative (MDSI).
