The keys to organic gardening

Learn everything you need to know to create an organic garden over three weeks of interactive workshops

Week 1: Improving your soil

Learn about soil profiles, soil types and how to improve soil quality by adding organic matter, fertilisers, minerals, mulch and manures.

When: 10am to 12 noon, Saturday 2 September

Week 2:  Seed raising mix and propagation

Learn how to make your own potting mix containing high nutritional levels as well as how to make your own seed raising mix and propagate seeds at home.

When: 1pm to 3pm, Saturday 2 September

Week 3: Propagation and seed saving

Learn about the different types of propagating techniques, including cuttings, layering, divisions and bulbs/tubers. You will also learn how to collect and save seeds.

When: 10am to 12 noon, Saturday 16 September

Each year Campbelltown City Council, in partnership with the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living hosts a range of sustainably themed workshops, FREE for Campbelltown residents.
