Overgrown and Unsightly Premises

Council's Environmental Health Officers will undertake an inspection of a property subject of a complaint or customer request, to determine if it is overgrown, unhealthy or unsightly.

Premises are considered unhealthy if there is found to be vermin present, a significant accumulation of rubbish and/or the property is significantly overgrown. Officers are able to issue Notices and Orders under the Local Government Act 1993 to have the premises returned to safe and healthy condition.

To report an unhealthy premise please contact Council's Customer Service Section on 4645 4000.
