Campbelltown residents can now share their ideas to help shape the future of arts, culture and creativity in the city over the next five years through an online survey released today.

Information gathered from the survey will contribute to the creation of the Campbelltown Arts, Culture and Creativity Strategy that will guide Council’s investments and planning in the region.

Council is calling for big and bold visions from all corners of Campbelltown about what the future creative life of the city might look like.

“Campbelltown has a long history of cultivating talented artists and celebrating the creativity and vibrancy of our city’s multicultural community,” Mayor George Greiss said.

“The arts touch all aspects of our community, from enhancing our public domain to providing an outlet for people to express their culture and personal experiences,” Cr Greiss said.

“I strongly encourage anyone interested in helping to shape how our city engages with the arts over the long-term to fill out the survey and share your thoughts and ideas so that the strategy is truly reflective of our community’s aspirations,” he said.

Local creatives of any discipline are invited to a special workshop to share their ideas over art-making activities and give feedback on the state of arts, culture and creativity in Campbelltown. The workshop will be documented and recorded, and inform the draft strategy.

Anyone who wants to engage with the creative consultation workshops can follow Campbelltown City Council and Campbelltown Arts Centre on social media. Details on how to get involved will be posted soon.

The survey closes Friday 26 August and details about the survey and the workshop are available at www.overtoyou.campbelltown.nsw.gov.au/arts-culture-strategy.
