Where can I park when visiting the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands?

There are a number of parking locations within walking distance to access the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands:

  • The most direct access is via the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands and Bradbury Oval car park located off The Parkway, Bradbury.
  • On-street parking around the Parklands, located on The Parkway, Bradbury.
  • Campbelltown Arts Centre car park.
  • Campbelltown City Centre.
Disability parking

Disability parking is available at the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands and Bradbury Oval car park.

What are the public transport options?

Plan ahead and catch public transport.

Train

The nearest train station is Campbelltown Station, which runs regular train services into the Campbelltown City Centre.

Catch a bus

The Busabout 885 service runs between Campbelltown Station and Bradbury every 30 minutes from Monday to Friday and every hour on weekends.

Is the water heated? And are the pools open year round?

The water at the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands is not heated and is closed during the winter season (May to August). The splash park will be open year-round.

Is there food available to purchase? Can I bring my own food in?

The Campbelltown Billabong Parklands will have mobile food trucks available with a range of alternating cuisine options. The site has many picnic areas for customers to enjoy and you are permitted to bring in your own food.

Glass, alcohol and gum are not permitted on site.

Are there BBQs on site?

Yes, the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands have 4 BBQs available for use free of charge during operational hours. Patrons are to bring their own cooking utensils for the BBQs.

Can tents, umbrellas or eskys be brought in?

Benches, tables and gazebos for personal use are not permitted to be brought into the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands. Eskys and pop-up beach tents are permitted. Contents of the eskys will be inspected upon entry.

What are the conditions of entry?

Campbelltown City Council endeavour to provide a safe and enjoyable facility for all users therefore ask patrons to adhere to our full list of conditions of entry.

Is alcohol or smoking permitted?

The Campbelltown Billabong Parklands supports the Smoke Free Environment Act 2000. Both smoking and alcohol are banned in the whole facility.

Can my child/ren go for a swim without a parent or guardian? And what are the age requirements for entry at the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands?

As per our conditions of entry, patrons must adhere to the following:

  • Children aged 0-5 years and non-swimmers must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must maintain continuous supervision and remain within arm’s reach. Maximum 1 Parent / Legal Guardian / Adult to 2 Children.
  • Children 6-10 years and weak swimmers must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must be close, monitor and maintain constant visual contact and be prepared to assist children if needed. Maximum 1 Parent / Legal Guardian / Adult to 4 Children.
  • Children aged 11-14 years must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must maintain constant visual contact.
  • Children 11 years and older may be non-swimmers or weak swimmers therefore supervision by a Parent, Legal guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over) should not be restricted by age in these circumstances.

What accessible features are on site?

Campbelltown Billabong Parklands has a number of accessible features for all to enjoy the facility including:

  • Ramp access to site from carpark
  • Entry ramps into the pools
  • Aquatic wheelchair
  • Accessible pool hoist
  • Accessible change rooms

How deep is the pool?

The Campbelltown Billabong Parklands consists of a range of recreational areas including a zero-depth water play area. In the large recreational pool, the depth goes to 1.8m. The site has a number of depth markers around the pool and patrons are encouraged to make themselves familiar with the depth and only enter areas suitable to their swim ability.

Will there be lifeguards on site?

Yes, the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands has lifeguards on site during operational hours. However, Parents/ Legal Guardians/ Responsible Adults are required to adhere to our Keep Watch policy at all times.
