Become a Bushcare volunteer
Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Would you like to know more about local waterways, birds, insects, plants and wildlife, and pick up some new skills while you're at it? If the answer is yes, then why not join one of our Bushcare volunteer groups?
As a Bushcare volunteer, you will do your bit for the environment while rubbing shoulders with interesting and like-minded people. Bushcare groups participate in activities such as tree planting, erosion control, litter removal, weed management, and of course, wildlife spotting.
No experience is necessary - we will provide you with all the training you need.

In partnership with our Bushcare volunteer program, Bush Explorers aims to reveal the mysteries of nature through regular events lead by our local experts.
Throughout the year we will lift the lid on the wonders of the natural world, be it through bug-hunts or bird-walks, seasonal saunters or spotlight nights, bushcare workshops or bush tucker walks - there will be something for everyone.
As a Bush Explorer you will get to discover the local wildlife, learn about the natural environment and see the important bushcare work that helps preserve it. Additionally you will meet like-minded people whilst getting outside and active in nature - a great way to help your own well-being.
Another reason why it is so vital to care about the bush.
