Conditions of Entry

Help us help you to stay safe while at the Billabong.

We want to provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience and therefore all persons entering the facility must adhere to the following conditions of entry:

Children and supervision

 Age  Supervision required
0-5 years & non swimmers Must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must maintain continuous supervision and remain within arm’s reach. Maximum 1 Parent / Legal Guardian / Adult to 2 Children.
 6-10 years/weak swimmers Must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must be close, monitor and maintain constant visual contact and be prepared to assist children if needed. Maximum 1 Parent / Legal Guardian / Adult to 4 Children.
 11-14 years

Must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must maintain constant visual contact.

Children 11 years and older may be non-swimmers or weak swimmers therefore supervision by a Parent, Legal guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over) should not be restricted by age in these circumstances.

General conditions of entry

  1.  Portable coolers and bags may be inspected upon arrival to ensure no prohibited items are brought into the facility. 

  2. Council staff may request a person to provide their drivers licence or Government issued identification document to verify identity. Council staff will respect cultural differences and medical conditions in verifying a person’s identity, however Council staff reserve the right to either refuse entry or remove anyone whose identity cannot be established.

  3. All large, informal groups of children arriving at the aquatic facility may be required to participate in a brief to the entry policies and may be refused entry.

  4. Staff have the right to refuse entry to any person at their sole discretion. Staff may at any time remove any patron/s if in the opinion of staff; such patron/s are engaging in disruptive or disorderly conduct. No refunds will be given in the event of an eviction.

  5. Patron/s, including those with special needs, and those under their care and control enter the centre, participate in the programs and classes and use the facilities within the centre entirely at their own risk. Staff will not provide individual care.

  6. Campbelltown Council does not accept liability for any theft, loss or damage to personal property whether in the Centre or elsewhere.

  7. Appropriate swimwear is to be worn when entering the pools and splash park.

  8. Patrons are to follow directions of staff. In case of an emergency evacuation, staff will assist patrons to the evacuation point.

  9. Individuals should use the toilet and showers before entering the water. Babies and children who are not toilet trained are required to wear a swimming nappy and ensure regular toilet breaks are taken.

  10. Individuals involved in the distribution of or who are under the influence of illicit drugs or alcohol are not permitted in the centre.

  11. Individuals with contagious infections are not permitted to enter the pools and splash park.

  12. No food or drinks are permitted in the pool/s and splash park.

  13. Benches, tables and gazebo’s for personal use are not permitted to be brought into the centre.

  14. Mobile phones and cameras are not permitted to be used in change rooms. Patrons may not photograph other patrons without permission of the centre management and those patrons involved. CCTV cameras are recording throughout the internal and external areas of the centre.

  15. Patrons are not permitted to take videos or photographs of individuals without their consent.

  16. While in the centre, patrons may participate in a recreational activity which involves inherent risks. To the full extent permitted by law, the centre and Campbelltown Council does not accept liability for any injury or death, or costs associated, to any person whilst in the centre.

  17. Failure to comply with this notice is an offence under the Lands Protection Act 1901.

 

Prohibited items and activities

The following activities and items are prohibited at Billabong Parklands:

  • Diving
  • Dunking
  • Bombing
  • Pushing
  • Running
  • Littering
  • Bodyboards
  • Skateboards and Roller blades
  • Bad language
  • Alcohol
  • Glass
  • Knives, with the exception of plastic and bamboo knives
  • Smoking or vaping

Dogs are not permitted at Billabong Parklands, with the exception of guide dogs.
