Payment Methods

You can pay your Council rates and tax invoices using the following payment options.

Pay online

You can pay your rates, your tax invoices or make a debtor payment using our secure online payment portal.

*Credit card payments attract a merchant service fee. Visa, MasterCard and AMEX accepted only.

Payment via BPay

Online banking via BPay can be set up with your bank, credit union, building society or financial institution. Please contact them to set up BPay to make payments from your cheque, savings, debit, credit card or transaction account.

Pay via Direct Debit incl Centrepay

Have your payments automatically debited from your nominated bank account or credit card weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly.

Direct debit payments can be scheduled for your rates, memberships, venue hire and miscellaneous services.

Deductions from your Centrelink Payment

  • Centrepay is a voluntary bill-paying service which is free for Centrelink customers. Use Centrepay to arrange regular deductions from your Centrelink payment 
  • You can start a deduction at any time. The quickest way to do it is through your Centrelink account online. Go to for more information on how to set up your Centrepay deductions.

Phone 1300 791 110 and follow the prompts to pay by credit card*.

Pay in person

You can pay by cash, EFTPOS, cheque, money order or credit card during our business hours:

Australia Post Offices across the country also offers Post Billpay and will accept cash, cheque or EFTPOS payments (no credit cards) when you present your bill intact.

Please mail your cheques, money orders and credit card* payments with the bottom portion of the account(s) you are paying to:

  • Make sure you allow sufficient mailing time to ensure payment is received before the due date
  • Interest will accrue on late payments at the rate listed on the front of your account.
