Busking and Street Performances

a busker playing a musical instrument

We recognise and welcome buskers and street performers in both the Campbelltown and Ingleburn CBD for the contribution these artforms make to enhance liveliness to our city.

Busking and street performances can mean performing singing, playing a musical instrument, a dramatic or dance performance in a public space for the purpose of receiving monetary contributions from members of the public.

Buskers are not paid or hired directly for their performance but rely on passers-by appreciating their work and choosing to pay the performer.

Busking Permits

Campbelltown City Council Street Trading Policy(PDF, 1MB) aims to reduce the potential for conflict and support a community-minded approach to how our common spaces are to be creatively utilised, whilst preserving the ambience and comfort of our existing public spaces for all.

All performers in Campbelltown City need a Busking Permit prior to any activity taking place, and you need to be 16 years or older.

All Busking and Street Performance permits are valid for three years and are currently FREE of charge.
