Renew On Q

Pop up pottery shop

We partner with Renew Australia to activate vacant spaces on and around Queen Street with creative ideas and enterprises.

The program will have a locally based project manager who will work with the local community, property owners, and representatives, to activate vacant spaces and make them available to local creatives and entrepreneurs, who will be able to trial their business or idea in a commercial setting. The vacant property is provided on a rent-free basis via a 30-day rolling license and offered to a business that complements, not competes, with existing businesses in the area.

Why are we doing this?

This program is designed to rejuvenate areas experiencing commercial vacancy by increasing foot traffic and activity, while supporting local creative and entrepreneurial communities.

Through the activation of space and bringing new local ideas and businesses to previously vacant shopfronts, the project aims to support existing businesses by helping to draw people back into the Campbelltown City Centre via events, workshops, exhibitions and classes.

How can I get involved?

If you are an entrepreneur, creative, micro-business or social enterprise fill out the expression of interest below.

We want to hear from you if you've got a creative idea that you'd like to showcase, are looking to take the next step into a retail space, or want to host workshops or events in the heart of Campbelltown, then this is the program for you.

Participant Testimonials

Creative business participant testimonials:

Noelle Moa - Printmaker - Downtown Plaza Decal Project

“I’ve just been to the Downtown Arcade with my family to see the windows and we are just so blown away! I got very emotional and couldn’t stop crying. I don’t want to get too personal, but I just want to say that I struggle a lot with self-doubt, with myself as an artist. So, to see my works so prominently displayed in such a public space, it made me think, oh… my works are okay!

Thank you deeply to you both, to the Renew Australia team for this amazing opportunity. I am so very grateful.

Fa’afetai tele lava. Thank you very much. “

Ruth Fattal - Ruth Fattal Haute Couture

“We are so excited to be a part of Renew On Q, to inspire creativity through our upcoming workshops and concept store, join us for our still life drawing and styling workshop on 3 March and pop by our concept store for a one-of-a-kind artisanal piece and boutique experience in the heart of Campbelltown.”

Jemima Webb - Evora Cove

“This initiative has granted us the chance to establish a bricks-and-mortar retail presence in the heart of Campbelltown CBD, enabling us to forge closer connections with the local community and initiate mutually beneficial partnerships with other local businesses. The experience has proven invaluable in fostering the growth of our business and enhancing our visibility.”

Real Estate Agent testimonials:

Darren Zammit - Sales and Leasing Director, LJ Hooker Commercial, Macarthur

“The Renew On Q project is an excellent initiative for the Campbelltown CBD, and in particular Queen Street. It provides landlords with long-term vacancies, the opportunity to have a fresh clean space with activity. This provides positive sentiment to surrounding businesses and tenants and further creates opportunity to potentially secure that tenant long-term or someone new who may want to start a business or relocate an established one in a newly vibrant location.”
