Education program

Our educational programs are designed to nurture creativity and enjoyment of the arts, enrich audience engagement with contemporary artistic practice, enable equal participation and contribution to the arts and facilitate equal access to extraordinary artistic experiences.

Our diverse workshops and excursion opportunities are available throughout the year for schools and young people, as well as community groups, service providers and private organisations. Programs are designed in line with the age and interests of participants, with coordinators and teachers warmly invited to collaborate on education program development.

Our school education programs provide multiple ways for young people to engage with practicing artists, including artists in residence who will be working on site or living at Campbelltown Arts Centre at various times each year. See artistic programs pages for details on current artists in residence, including opportunities for your students to meet, work with or be mentored by these artists.

Subsidies

A limited number of excursions are available at $5 per student, for primary and secondary schools in the Macarthur region. These excursions can include artist talks, artist facilitated workshops and guided exhibition tours for up to 80 students per school. Transport support is also available as part of these excursions, with transport provided at no additional cost for a limited number of schools.

Subsidies are limited and cannot be guaranteed. A limited number of subsidized excursions are available for each visual art exhibition, and will be provided in order of date of confirmation.
