Works start to upgrade Keith Longhurst Reserve

Published on 08 November 2023

Residents visiting Keith Longhurst Reserve will soon be greeted by upgrades to the entrance and car park area and new wayfinding signage as part of a series of upgrades.

The new wayfinding signage builds on upgrades to the walking trails last year to improve accessibility across the reserve.

“Keith Longhurst Reserve is a gateway to the Georges River and The Basin, one of Campbelltown’s most scenic natural areas,” Mayor Dr George Greiss said.

“The new signage and upgrades to the car parking area will improve the accessibility for visitors while the entrance area works will ensure it is reflective of the welcoming experience that people should feel when visiting a reserve like this,” Dr Greiss said.

The works will include:

  • Relaying of the car park surface
  • Improved parking capacity
  • Replacement of wayfinding signage
  • Installation of sandstone logs
  • Tree plantings
  • Vegetation restoration

There will be some disruption to access while the works take place.
