Jolene is a quiet little girl who is still figuring out where she fits in the world. She's naturally very timid and reserved, and while her siblings (Joanne & Joel) found their confidence a little sooner, Jolene has needed some extra time to find hers. She prefers to watch things from a safe distance before deciding whether she's ready to get involved, and right now, being brave happens in small steps - but those little steps are beginning to add up.

The secret to making friends with Jolene is definitely through her tummy. She's food motivated, and offering her something tasty is one of the best ways to show her that spending time with people can lead to good things. Add some gentle pats while the snacks are flowing and she's much more willing to accept affection. As her trust continues to grow, we hope she'll start discovering that attention can be pretty nice even when there isn't a treat attached!

Playtime is another part of kittenhood that Jolene hasn't quite discovered yet. Interestingly, her siblings were similar when they first arrived and eventually became much more interested in toys once they felt settled. Jolene may simply need a little longer to get there. She's still young, with plenty of time to learn, explore and develop her own personality once she has the confidence to let it show.

Jolene is looking for a calm, quiet home and, most importantly, someone who understands that she won't transform into a confident little cat overnight. She needs a patient person who will celebrate the small wins and let her relationship with them develop at her own pace. Jolene might not be the kitten who immediately runs to the front asking to be chosen, but perhaps this time someone could choose her first - and give this shy girl the time and security she needs to finally come out of her shell.
