The registration fee(PDF, 165KB) is a once-only payment, which covers the cat or dog for its lifetime in NSW, regardless of any changes in ownership.
The new fee structure set down by the State Government from 1 July 2022 is as follows:

*An eligible pensioner includes a person in receipt of the aged pension, war widow pension or disability pension.
A late fee of $19 is applicable if the registration fee has not been paid 28 days after the date on which the companion animal was required to be registered.
