Meet Ollie,

Soft, sweet and a little unsure of the big wide world, Ollie is still learning that being brave isn’t so scary. More reserved than his brother Stan, he likes to take things at his own pace — but even when he’s not completely sure, that little purr starts rumbling away. Gentle chin scratches and head pats are a quick way to win him over, and before long you’ll find him leaning in for just a little more.

Ollie is happy to be picked up, although he can get a little worried if he’s not sure where he’s going, so gentle handling and reassurance go a long way. His favourite place is somewhere warm, cosy and tucked away where he can curl up for a peaceful nap. Ollie currently shares his condo with Stan and would be happy to meet other friendly cats of a similar age and size. Ollie also loves to play with toys! He’s just looking for someone who’ll give this little guy the time and encouragement he needs to discover his brave side.

Ollie is already litter trained, but it’s best to show him where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.

If you’ve got other animals at home just make sure that they have a slow & supervised introduction, over a few days, to ensure that they have the best chance of getting along.

Post Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
