Meet Wombat,
He earnt his name as much like Wombats he has a tendency to waddle around at a leisurely pace (using his butt as a weapon where required - usually to demand pats) but when the zoomies call, Wombat moves with a surprising speed.
According to Google wombats are mostly solitary and territorial creatures the same cannot be said of our big fella, this guy loves to play, he is a social Butterfly who throws himself into every playdate like it's the best thing he's ever experienced, whilst he can be a bit much for some dogs - his heart is in the right place his brain is just a few steps behind when it comes to social etiquette.
He loves to learn and has taken to his training with ease, he is food motivated but is easily distracted so training sessions are always entertaining, this being said due to his size and boisterous nature he would do best with someone who has experience handling large breed dogs.
If you have room in our heart for a big boy with an ever-bigger personality Wombat is sure to burrow his way in your heart.

The 3-3-3 Rule of Adopting a Dog
Post Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
