Queen Street Improvements

We are completing a series of works along Queen Street to improve the walking experience in the CBD and refresh the street furniture installed as part of the On Q project. 

What's happening?

• Approximately 700sqm of pavement will be replaced at identified locations along Queen Street to address cracks, potholes and uneven surfaces.
• Replacement of existing street furniture.
• Replacement of timber decking with new artifical grass and shade.
• Installation of five tree pits with weeping lilly pilly trees.

The works will take place between Browne Street and Bradbury Avenue in stages to ensure minimal disruption.

Some night works will take place throughout the construction period.

This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and Council.
