Construction has now started on a new 508 space, five-storey multideck car park at Campbelltown Station.

Federal Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government Minister Catherine King turned the first sod on the project today alongside Campbelltown Mayor Dr George Greiss and Federal Member for Macarthur Dr Mike Freelander.

The multideck car park will incorporate lift access and 14 secure bicycle parking areas in addition to several sustainable initiatives, including electric vehicle charging facilities, a rooftop solar panel array and battery storage and rainwater tanks.

The project received an additional $2.91 million in Australian Government funding following the 2023 Infrastructure Investment Program Strategic Review. Construction of the $25 million project is fully funded by the Australian Government, while Council is the owner of the land.

Arenco has been awarded the contract to carry out the car park upgrade.

It is expected construction on the project will be complete towards the end of 2024.
