HJ Daley Library successful in Library Unplugged program

HJ Daley Library has been successful in their application to the NSW Government's Public Library Infrastructure Grant, and will soon receive almost $70,000 in grant funding for their Campbelltown Library Unplugged program, set to commence from 2022-23.

The NSW Government grant will directly fund the purchase of an electric van for HJ Daley Library, as well as iPads, laptops and electronic essentials that will assist the library in reaching those who find it difficult to access Library services.

"This is an inclusive and resourceful program that will allow our libraries to reach people who may not be able to access the programs and services provided in our branches," Mayor George Greiss said.

"Libraries are a much-loved part of our community and this will enable us to further expand the services that we know are valued by the community," Cr Greiss said.

The van, which will be branded with Library marketing collateral, will assist with expanding the Home Library Service to socially isolated residents, feature at community events and festivals, visit new developments to connect newer locals to Library services, facilitate outreach programs, and contribute to reducing Council's carbon footprint.
