This suburban oasis, which translates to ‘hunting ground’, is only six kilometres from Campbelltown’s CBD.
A new track network lets you explore every corner of Noorumba by foot or bike. You can easily weave your way through endangered Cumberland Plain Woodlands before reaching a clearing. Take a break and admire the large, tranquil creek while listening to birdsongs. Remember to bring a camera to capture some native animals, such as koalas and echidnas!
The reserve is also an incredibly important Aboriginal site. Many artefacts unearthed here tell of ancient foraging and hunting in the area. Visit neighbouring Gajun Gajaaja Reserve (meaning ‘very good children’) to learn more about our local Aboriginal heritage.
New bird watching facilities and seating will soon be installed in the reserve.
