Facts/Statistics

Approximately 80,000 women reside in the Campbelltown Local Government Area (LGA) which is 51 per cent of the population, as calculated from the latest ABS Census data (2016).

  • There is a rate of 17.9 per 1000 young mothers aged 15 to 19 years in the Campbelltown LGA, compared to 7.6 per 1000 young mothers aged 15 to 19 years in Greater Sydney.
  • In 2016, there were 9086 sole parent households in Campbelltown LGA with 83% of them headed by Women.
  • 50 per cent of Women in Campbelltown over the age of 15 are employed.
  • In Campbelltown City in 2016, 17,043 Women with dependent children were participating in the labor force (either employed or seeking work), accounting for 61.4 per cent of Women with dependent children.
