What does it feel like to have a mental illness? How does a carer of someone with a mental illness cope with their role?

Hear local stories of people with a lived experience of mental illness in this Living Library video interview series aimed at tackling stigma and normalising getting help.

Adam Holstein

A father with a lived experience of depression. After losing his friend to suicide he started the successful podcast ‘How You Going mate?’ and advocates for mental health awareness.

John Moore

A long serving Firefighter and carer to his daughter with a mental illness. He started the Macarthur Mental Health Carers Support group as a way of supporting others and last year walked from Campbelltown to Canberra to raise awareness for mental health.

Jonny Lobos

A personal trainer and proud Chilean man that developed depression and anxiety in his early 20’s. He practices Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to stay healthy.

Debbie Graham

A child hood survivor of Domestic and Family Violence. She is now the manager at SWS Recovery College and helps others through teaching, educating and motivating towards change and recovery.
