Bushcare Big Day Out

Join Council’s Bushcare volunteers for a special Bushcare Big Day Out at Scattergood Reserve, St Helens Park.

Enjoy a guided bushwalk through the reserve during one of the best times of year to explore Campbelltown’s bushland, with native wildflowers and orchids in bloom and plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife.

The event is a great opportunity to learn more about Bushcare, discover some of the native plants and animals found in the reserve and see the fantastic work undertaken by Bushcare volunteers to protect and restore our local bushland.

No previous Bushcare experience is needed. Whether you’re interested in joining a Bushcare group or simply want to learn more about Campbelltown’s natural environment, everyone is welcome.

What to expect

• A guided bushwalk and native plant identification
• A practical demonstration of bush regeneration methods
• Opportunities to spot local wildlife, including koalas and native birds

What to bring

Please wear enclosed shoes, a long-sleeved shirt and long pants, and bring sun protection and a water bottle.

You may also like to bring binoculars for spotting koalas and birds.

Council will provide all tools, gloves and light refreshments.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
