Have chemicals you need to dispose of?

The safe way to dispose of potentially hazardous household chemicals is at a Household Chemical CleanOut event.

These events held throughout the year are run by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA), in partnership with Councils, and are completely FREE for residents. The collected chemicals are safely disposed of or recycled. 

You can drop off household quantities of:

  • Garden and pool chemicals
  • Household cleaning products
  • Hobby and craft chemicals
  • Poisons and pesticides
  • Motor fluids and fuels
  • Motor and cooking oils*
  • Batteries*
  • Paint*
  • Gas bottles*
  • Fire extinguishers*
  • Smoke detectors*
  • Fluorescent globes and tubes* 

*Items marked with an * can be dropped off anytime to the Campbelltown Community Recycling Centre for FREE.

Important: Quantities are 20L or 20KG, except paint is up to 100L (in 20L containers).
