About Kentlyn Bushcare
If you have a passion for the outdoors and would you like to know more about our local waterways, birds, insects, plants and wildlife, come along and join our Kentlyn Bushcare volunteer group. You will also pick up some new skills along the way.
The Kentlyn Bushcare group works on Tuesdays across a number of sites through the beautiful bushland of Kentlyn, focusing on removal of invasive weeds, such as lantana, in areas of endangered Shale-Sandstone Transition Forest
As a Bushcare volunteer, you will do your part for the environment while rubbing shoulders with interesting and like-minded people. Bushcare groups participate in activities such as tree planting, erosion control, litter removal, weed management and of course, wildlife spotting.
No experience is necessary to attend these events, as we will provide you with all the training you need.
Please note – as circumstances can change (bad weather, illness etc.) we recommend confirming arrangements on the morning of Bushcare with the Team Leader – on 0409 757 143.
