Australia Day

Celebrate our national day with a host of family-friendly activities in Campbelltown City!

Australia Day is your chance to celebrate what’s great about Campbelltown - come and join the party!

Council hosts a variety of activities and free entertainment, across two locations, to celebrate our national day.

There will be something for everyone, so join in the Australia Day celebrations at Koshigaya Park, Campbelltown and Hallinan Park, Ingleburn, giving residents of all ages an opportunity to reflect on what’s great about our country and our local community.

Recognising local heroes

A number of nominations were received across four categories for the 2017 Australia Day Awards. The Australia Day Awards are a fantastic opportunity for local heroes to be recognised for the great service they provide to the community. The 2017 Australia Day Award categories are Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Sportsperson of the Year and Community Group Initiative of the Year.

Winners of these prestigious awards will be announced at the Campbelltown City Australia Day Celebrations at Koshigaya Park. The ceremony will commence at 8am.

 A Citizenship ceremony will follow.

Celebrations at Ingleburn

The celebrations continue at Ingleburn with the cutting of the Australia Day cake, and a Citizenship ceremony at the Greg Percival Community Centre.

Formalities will be followed by games and entertainment at Hallinan Park from 12noon.

Join the party!

The fun continues at Koshigaya Park from 4pm with stalls, rides, stall and stage entertainment all night!

Get into the Aussie summer spirit as Koshigaya Park is transformed into a party destination . The celebrations will come to a close with a fantastic fireworks display at 9pm.
