Feel the Beat is an inclusive youth music festival catering for people with disability. With live entertainment, loads of activities including tattoo spraying, henna, flower crown making and more!
Campbelltown Council in conjunction with The Disability Trust will host Campbelltown's first ever youth music event for people with disability!
There will be live entertainment on stage with loads of activities to do including tattoo spraying, henna, flower crown making and much more!
The venue has easy access, with plenty of parking. There are accessible toilets, Auslan interpreters, online ticketing system, controlled noise levels, appropriate lighting and quiet zones. Including seating areas and a chill out zone full of cushions, bean bags and blankets.
This event is targeted to young people with disability aged 12 to 24 years. The Over the Rainbow session (2pm to 4.30pm) is open for people aged 12 to 17 years and the Light up your Night session (6pm to 10pm) caters to 18 to 24 years.
Who will be performing at Feel the Beat?
The event aims to provide an opportunity for musicians with disability to perform on stage in a safe festival like environment. It will also feature headline acts across both festival sessions. A line-up will be announced shortly.
What makes this event suitable for people with disability?
This event caters for people living with disability by offering music at a controlled noise level. The event is completely accessible and inclusive, there are accessible toilets, Auslan interpreters, online ticketing, ramps, controlled noise levels, appropriate lighting and quiet zones.
Will anyone without a disability be able to go?
Yes. Young people with disability are welcome to bring two people with them to the event.
I'm a carer, do I also need to purchase a ticket?
Yes, carers do need to purchase a ticket. Each attendee with a disability can purchase two additional tickets for guardians, carers or friends.
Will the number of tickets be limited per person?
Yes. Each young person with disability can purchase one ticket for themselves and up to two additional tickets for family members, friends or carers.
Can I refund my ticket if I cannot attend?
Tickets are strictly non-refundable.
Is this an alcohol free event?
- The 12 to 17 year old session is strictly alcohol free. No alcohol will be available at the event and no one under the influence will be allowed to enter.
- The 18 to 24 year old session will have alcohol available for purchase at the bar.
Will food be available for purchase?
Yes. Food will be available for purchase at the club before and after the event. Discounted meals will be advertised closer to the event and available for ticket holders.
The Feel the Beat music event will be widely promoted to an audience of up to one million people. Promotion will span from Campbelltown - Macarthur, Fairfield, Liverpool, Blacktown and the Greater Penrith area.
Promotion of the event will be via various advertising mediums including facebook, website, radio, email marketing, posters, fliers and more.
Organisations who partner with the event will be included on all promotional material and receive recognition for their contribution. Please see prospectus on following page for further inclusions.
