Businesses in the Campbelltown and Ingleburn CBD precincts can now apply for a second round of Outdoor Dining Grants of up to $5000 to help them establish an outdoor dining area.

The grants aim to help local restaurants, bakeries, takeaway shops, hotels, bistros and cafes to purchase quality outdoor dining furniture to establish or enhance their outdoor dining space.

“Outdoor dining enhances our streetscapes and helps local eateries to expand the capacity of their business,” Mayor George Greiss said.

The first round of grants released last year saw more than $85,000 worth of funding distributed across 21 businesses in the Campbelltown and Ingleburn city centres.

“The first round of grants were very popular and saw a fantastic outcome with several businesses able to upgrade their outdoor dining areas,” Dr Greiss said.

Assistance is available for businesses to assess the visual profile of their proposed dining area and to apply for the grants.

Businesses must have a valid Outdoor Dining Permit to apply.

Grant applications close on Monday 18 March 2024.
