Log Book Run Events - Campbelltown City Council

Campbelltown City Council Log Book Run events are held in conjunction with Camden and Wollondilly Councils.

The Log Book Run is an organised drive based on a route from the award winning ‘Drives for Learners in Macarthur’ booklet. A hard copy of the booklet is also available – please call us on 4645 4220.

Learner drivers and their supervisors are invited to attend the log book run events which are held quarterly from March onwards.

What does the Log Book Run provide?

  • An orientation session, breath test, license check.
  • The route has pit stops, check points, morning tea and lunch is provided.
  • A route guide and maps are provided.
  • NSW Police and Highway Patrol stop participants along the route for random breath tests and also answer questions.
  • Window mounted flags and car numbers are issued to each vehicle for easy identification of participants.
  • Staggered start to avoid large groups of learners in one place.
  • Emergency contact numbers and Tail Vehicle for added safety.
  • The opportunity for participants to meet, talk with and learn from other Learner Drivers and Supervisors.

Learners attending the Daytime log book run also have the opportunity to attend a Night time log book run. These occur one month after the daytime event, and a different route is used. Night time log book runs occur outside of daylight savings periods.
