The Council Office and some services will be closed from Friday 7 April, reopening Tuesday 11 April 2023. Find out which Campbelltown City Council services are open over the Easter long weekend and how to keep in touch.
For many decades, Council has reinforced the need to preserve the Scenic Hills, which form the western local government area boundary and represent an iconic landscape unit that is highly valued by the Campbelltown community.
Council has recently resolved to enhance the protection of the Scenic Hills by requesting the NSW Department of Planning and Environment to pursue appropriate statutory planning actions.
Additionally, Council has recently rejected two Planning Proposal Requests (rezoning applications) that sought amendments to the existing planning controls to permit wide ranging residential development.
This Council Planning Position for the Scenic Hills should be acknowledged in all future initiatives.
