The Macarthur Medical Research Centre, is a partnership between Western Sydney University, South Western Sydney Area Health Service, UNSW and the Walker Foundation. The $47.5 million centre, which is expected to be open in 2023, will be a world-class medical education and research facility that will enable local researchers to address the region's unique health challenges and improve health outcomes for the people of south west Sydney. The facility, to be located at Campbelltown Hospital, will bring together world-leading researchers and clinicians across disciplines. It will promote greater scientific, clinical and industry collaboration that can deliver cutting-edge diagnostics and innovative healthcare programs, treatments, and therapies, and strengthen patient care.
