Campbelltown 2020

In light of the impact of COVID-19 on our community, Council is pausing to reflect and reconsider the ways in which the community can be celebrating Campbelltown 2020. Stay tuned for further updates.

Campbelltown 2020 is a year-long celebration of the shared history and local heritage of the region. The program takes the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the City of Campbelltown as a key milestone. But the story of the area stretches far beyond 200 years beginning with the Dharawal people and continuing today with our multicultural and diverse community. Campbelltown is now home to over 6,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, who contribute to one of the most culturally diverse Councils in Australia.

Today, Campbelltown is on the cusp of unprecedented growth and development

The Campbelltown 2020 program is a celebration of local cultural and built heritage, and aims to actively engage the local community in telling the good stories of the region. You'll also have the chance to learn more about our vision for Reimagining Campbelltown CBD to create a sustainable, resilient, prosperous and liveable city which services the broader Macarthur region.

We are inviting you to join our celebrations and reflect on the qualities and attributes that make Campbelltown a dynamic and exciting place to live.
