Meet Anchovy,

Anchovy has undergone a glow up since we wrote his profile & as such it's time for an update!

Anchovy has always been sweet, but he was also very timid & shy. So shy that being patted was out of the question. However, he has really come out of his shell - don't get us wrong he is still shy but he purrs to show how content he is, & even though he may still shy away from an initial pat he does lean in for them after he realises how great they are.

He's a delightful little fellow who truly is affectionate and just needs an owner who will allow him to be him. He loves to have a chat & feels so confident in his condo as he struts around willing people to shower him with attention.

Just like all kittens, Anchovy  would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. He should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that he grow up big and strong.

He would benefit to live in a calm and quiet household, or at least have an area of the home that is just his - however we are confident that as he gets more confident he would be suitable in any home environment.

He is already litter trained, but it’s best to show him where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.

If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.

Can you open your heart and home to a sweet, playful kitty like Anchovy ?

Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
