Vehicle Crossing (Driveway) Permits
If you are planning to modify or construct a vehicle crossing (driveway) from your property boundary to the kerb and gutter or road, you are required to obtain Council approval prior to the commencement of any construction. This applies to existing dwellings with an Occupation Certificate.
For new dwellings requiring a vehicle crossing / driveway approval as part of a Development Application (DA) or Complying Development Certificate (CDC), must apply for a Section 138 Road Act approval through the NSW Planning Portal. This is a prerequisite for obtaining a Construction Certificate or a Compliance Certificate required for an Occupation Certificate.
