Smart City Program

You will be redirected to City Improvements Smart city initiatives soon

It is an exciting time to be in Campbelltown City Council as we deliver a bold, ambitious plan to become Australia’s most liveable and prosperous Smart City.

Our Smart City goes beyond digital technology. We are embracing new ways of working. New ways of learning. And new ways of living. Our vision is to be a truly connected community, full of ideas, energy and innovation. As one of Australia’s fastest growing cities, now is the time to define our future prosperity.

Now is the time to sharpen our youthful edge with programs and projects that bring technology to life and into our lives. It’s a bold and ambitious plan, but together we will co-create a city that is safer, healthier and more connected with better technology, better living and better together initiatives.

These initiatives are designed specifically for Campbelltown City Council and supporting our Re-imagining Campbelltown Growth Principles -

  • No Grey to be Seen
    • We enhance our waterways and green spaces and plan for a sustainable future.

  • City and Bush
    • We respect and celebrate our cultural heritage and our unique city bushland lifestyle.

  • Connected Place and Community
    • We make it easier to move around our city centre, so we are both the heart of the Macarthur region and the southern
      gateway to Sydney.

  • Confident and Self Driven
    • We don’t wait for others to act for us – we own our future.

  • Centre of Opportunity
    • We play to our economic strengths and opportunities, to attract investment and create a range of jobs for our community.

  • The Good Life
    • We are an inclusive, diverse and friendly community. People choose the Campbelltown lifestyle.

A key smart initiative already in place at Campbelltown City Council is our adoption of the Open Data approach. This means that if we’re able to share data – factoring in commercial copyright, security and privacy concerns – we will.

We do this because we believe in being a transparent organisation that makes it simple for the community to access information. It helps foster citizen collaboration and innovation, and makes it easier for innovators to develop solutions and services that are relevant to the community.   Please check out our Open Data page for further details
